The Dane County Cities and Villages Association will hold a virtual roundtable discussion at 12 p.m. noon on Tuesday, September 24, on the topic of how the arts help drive our Dane County economy.
Join the Dane County Cities and Villages Association as we welcome our guest presenter, Mark Fraire, who is Director of Dane County Arts and Cultural Affairs/ Dane Arts.
Dane Arts rests in the heart of County Government and the office sits within the County Executive offices. Its mission is to support the arts, culture, and history of Dane County. Dane Arts has also initiated several projects that show the economic, cultural, creative and community impact the arts generate throughout Dane County. It offers an annual grant program, created an artists in residence program and gallery at StartingBlock Madison, started Dane Arts Mural Arts (now its own non-profit), initiated Forward Madison Soccer Game Day Posters, produce Dane Arts Buy Local (DABL) Pop Up Markets and facilitate since 2022 an annual Dane Arts Business of Art Conference (www.dablmarket.com).
Join us during this virtual roundtable to hear how your city or village can benefit from Dane Arts programs and grants or to share how you are promoting the arts in your community.
