Dane County Cities and Villages Association and Dane County Towns Association Co-Hosting Training for Newly Elected Local Officials on May 31
Session Will Provide Information About Partner Agencies/Departments in the County
The Dane County Cities and Villages Association (DCCVA) and Dane County Towns Association (DCTA) are teaming up on Wednesday, May 31, to co-host a free informational session/training for newly elected local government officials from cities, villages and towns within Dane County - to orient them about the partner agencies/organizations that frequently work with our local cities, villages and towns.
During the informational session, participants will hear from leaders of the following departments/organizations who will discuss their function and give a broad overview on how they interact with cities, villages and towns:
- Dane County Cities and Villages Association
- Dane County Towns Association
- Dane County Executive's Office
- Dane County Board of Supervisors
- Greater Madison MPO
- Capital Area Regional Planning Commission
- Dane County Emergency Management
- Dane County Sheriff's Department
- Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District
- Dane County Broadband Task Force
This is a good opportunity to learn upfront about the agencies/organizations that you will surely hear about or interact with during your time serving in your elected position.

- Who Should Attend: Any individual who is newly elected to a city council, village board or town board within Dane County.
Refreshments will be served. There will be a scheduled refreshment break for mingling/social time to meet some of your fellow elected officials from neighboring communities.
